CalFriends.NET is a niche club of like minded friends all of whom are based along the length and breath of California. The group initially met through the Naseeb.com social site at the first kick-off hike event at Lake Chabot, Castro Valley, Northern California in the Summer of 2005.

Ever since then membership has risen from 15 to 70+.

The group demographics consists of progressive South Asian and Middle Eastern professionals, mostly in their late 20's to early 40's. Most of our membership are associated to the High-Tech Industry in Silicon Valley. However, we do have some up and becoming attorney's doctors, writers, statesmen, teachers, and entrepreneurs within our ranks.

We are friends who work smart, and play hard.

To join CalFriends, prospective members must be refered by a fellow CalFriend. We don't accept anonymous, virtual request. It is our policy that only Friends of Friends, who know each other in real life can join this group.

Before being admitted to the group, prospective members must attend a minimum of two CalFriends gatherings.
